Process

I begin my process with photographs, then put the photograph away and use my imagination to complete the painting. Because my process is about capturing personality, I ask the client to send several photographs that they feel capture the spirit of the person or location to be painted. I then maintain contact with the client during the process to be sure that the finished product is satisfactory before it is shipped. Generally, I'll send a sketch to the client to verify composition, a proof early on in the process, a proof in the middle of the process, and a final proof. This allows clients to request changes at the beginning, middle, and end of the process.*

PAINTINGS

The prices below are estimates. Every commissioned piece is unique with different time requirements, so please contact me to discuss your project.

* Prices are for gallery wrap canvas and do not include framing.

8x10 through 16x20 - $200 to $600
16x20 through 24x36 - $600 to $1,500
24x36 to larger - $1,500 +

PORTRAITS

The prices listed below are estimated ranges for my impressionistic, or more abstract, style of portrait painting. Prices will vary according to client needs. Please contact me for a more accurate estimate for your specific project.

* Backgrounds are loosely painted or abstract.
* Prices do not include framing.
* Pencil, charcoal, or ink portraits are 1/3 of the price of oils.

8x10 through 16x20 - $300 to $800

Head and Shoulders
11x14 through 24x30 - $800 to $2000

3/4 Length to Full Size
24x30 to larger - $2000 +
